AIIMS NORCET 9 Recruitment 2025 Age Limit and Qualification
Age Limit: For all AIIMS, the age limit is between 18-30 Years as on the last date of closing of the application form (August 11, 2025). Age Relaxation will be given as per rules.
Qualification: Candidates must possess one of the following essential qualifications:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council (INC) / State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University. OR
- B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an INC / State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University.
- And must be registered as Nurses & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council. OR

AIIMS NORCET 9 Recruitment 2025 Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The NORCET examination will be conducted in two successive stages:
1. Stage I: NORCET Preliminary (Qualifying Exam)
- Duration: 90 minutes.
- Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for 100 marks.
- 20 MCQs related to General Knowledge & Aptitude.
- 80 MCQs related to the syllabus of Nursing courses taught at the essential qualification level.
- Negative Marking: 1/3 marks for each wrong answer.
- Sections: Paper divided into 5 sections, each 18 minutes duration and containing 20 questions. Sections will be enabled sequentially, and access to a past section will be disabled once moved to the next.
- Qualifying Marks:
- UR/EWS: 50 percentiles
- OBC: 45 percentile
- SC & ST: 40 percentile
- PwBD: An additional 5 percentile relaxation (e.g., UR/EWS-PwBD- 45 percentile, OBC-PwBD-40 percentile, SC/ST-PwBD-35 percentile).
- Shortlisting for Stage II: Candidates qualifying Stage I, equal to 5 times the total seats in each category, will be called for Stage II. All qualified PwBD candidates and tie cases will also be called. NORCET Preliminary score will not be used for final merit/rank.
2. Stage II: NORCET Main
- Duration: 180 minutes.
- Questions: 160 MCQs for 160 marks, related to the Nursing syllabus, with a focus on case scenario-based questions to test nursing skills competency.
- Negative Marking: 1/3 marks for each wrong answer.
- Sections: Paper divided into 4 sections, each 45 minutes duration and containing 40 questions. Sections will be enabled sequentially.
- Final Selection: All selections will be made in order of merit as per the NORCET Main Score in any AIIMS/Hospital.
